Official Statement: Unverified Varlion Products in Spain

OFFICIAL STATEMENT

Varlion warns about the commercialization of products with unverified origin and announces new legal actions to protect consumers and authorized distributors

Switzerland, June 2026. Varlion GmbH, the company holding the exploitation rights of the Varlion brand in Europe, the UK, the United States, DIPO countries, and other international markets, informs customers, distributors, and consumers of the detection in Spain of products identified with the Varlion brand whose origin has not been verified by the company.

According to the investigations carried out by the company, there are indications that certain products currently being marketed originate from unauthorized channels and, in some cases, may be linked to counterfeit, stolen, or otherwise improperly distributed merchandise outside Varlion’s official distribution network.

As a consumer protection measure, Varlion recommends always verifying the origin of any product purchased and buying exclusively through authorized distributors and retailers. Customers may contact contact@varlion.com and/or sales@varlion.com for verification and assistance.

Retailers Under Investigation

As part of the verification process conducted by the company, Varlion has detected the commercialization of branded products by various retailers for which the company has no record of direct supply.

These include:

  • Peekpadel.com

  • Stockpadel.com

  • Padel 5 (Jaén)

In several cases, the company has requested information and documentation proving the origin of the products offered for sale and continues to carry out the necessary actions to determine the traceability of these goods.

Clarification Regarding the LWC 3 Model

Varlion expressly informs consumers that the LWC 3 model ceased production in 2017, with only one manufacturing run produced and fully sold out during that same year.

Therefore, any unit commercialized after that date should be able to provide documentary evidence of its legitimate origin and corresponding distribution chain.

The company has also detected commercial references using names or descriptions that do not form part of Varlion’s official product nomenclature. One example is “VARLION CLASSIC.” Products marketed under this type of designation are counterfeit, and their origin is currently being investigated in cooperation with the relevant authorities.

Ongoing Legal Proceedings

The company and Mr. Felix Regalia currently maintain several legal proceedings in Spain and Switzerland related to the disappearance of merchandise, alleged irregularities in the management of corporate assets, and other actions that have allegedly caused significant economic damage to companies historically linked to the business group that owns the Varlion brand.

Among the reported facts are:

  • The disappearance of thousands of product units from the facilities of RDB International Sport S.A. in Spain (Camarma de Esteruelas). The complaint was filed by the company’s CFO and by Felix Regalia, CEO of the RDB Group.

  • Alleged irregularities detected in inventory management and control between 2022 and 2024 within the same company, while these functions were under the responsibility of Francesco Galli and Teresita García Carrera.

  • Corporate, commercial, and administrative actions that, according to the company, caused serious economic and operational damage.

These matters form part of various legal proceedings currently before the competent authorities, following criminal complaints filed by Mr. Felix Regalia on March 27, 2024, before Investigating Court No. 6, and on April 16, 2024, before Court No. 3, both in Alcalá de Henares.

These complaints were, in the company’s view, unusually and rapidly dismissed. The complainant subsequently filed an appeal before the Provincial Court of Madrid, which on February 10, 2025, ruled in favor of the complainant, ordering the reopening of the case and the continuation of the relevant police and judicial investigations in light of the evidence and indications presented regarding the possible commission of several criminal offenses.

Measures to Protect the Brand and Consumers

Varlion will continue pursuing all necessary legal actions to protect its intellectual and industrial property rights, the authenticity of its products, and the interests of consumers and authorized distributors.

The company will also seek any precautionary measures deemed appropriate to preserve evidence, ensure product traceability, and facilitate the potential recovery of damages.

Commitment to Transparency

Since its foundation, Varlion has operated according to the principles of innovation, quality, and respect for consumers, registering and protecting its trademarks, utility models, and industrial designs.

The company reaffirms its commitment to transparency and will fully cooperate with the relevant authorities in clarifying these matters, trusting that the ongoing proceedings will determine responsibilities in accordance with the law.

Attached are the relevant trademark registrations, protected design registrations, and the ruling of the Provincial Court of Madrid, which demonstrate the ownership and international protection of the Varlion brand.
